Employees are also expected to maintain ethical standards. While Launch is not able to provide a comprehensive list of acceptable ethical conduct, employees should use their best professional and moral judgment when working with Launch. Employees should maintain professional relationships with parents and students at all times both in school and during school-related functions. Information shared with parents should be accurate and timely. Any attempt to encourage or coerce a child to withhold information from the child’s parent is strictly prohibited.
Any employee that is engaged in a romantic or dating relationship with a parent of an existing student of the School is required to notify the Senior Director of Finance immediately, acknowledging the relationship and that it is entirely consensual and free from coercion and harassment.
Even for a romantic or dating relationship, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Dating or romantic relationships between a School employee and the parent of a student must not create a conflict of interest or interfere with the employee's professionalism. The romantic or dating relationship must not result in the employee treating other students unfairly or without the proper respect, and the employee must refrain from behavior that may make others, including the student that is the child of the parent, feel uncomfortable (for example, overt physical displays of affection).
